2023 was a HUGE year! Starting off the year with being hired to design Vancouver Island Karting Association (VIKA) 2023 Race schedule back in January 2023. Also attended and photographed/videoed the VIKA winter series, Summer Series and BC regional Championships held at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. From there throughout early 2023, I designed some Hero cards for some of the Kart drivers of the VIKA Club. Johnny Sutton, Dale Taylor and Jamie Coles all gave me the opportunity to design them some custom Hero cards and some racing T Shirt apparel. 

Throughout the 2023 year Light Em'Up.TV covered multiple car meets, car shows, events, cruises and took thousands of photos and videos. Some of the Events that stood out was attending the Diamond Rally. Craig Stowe and Nadia Iadisernia the host & organizers of the Rally. All proceeds gathered was to The Make A Wish foundation. Dozens of Supercars graced the streets of Victoria, BC then spent a day at the VIMC Track racing the circuit. The screaming V12 engines echoing through the valley was an incredible experience! The Diamond Rally ended the weekend off attending the Victoria Day parade where I was able to drive my C7 Corvette along side some of these million dollar supercars! I can't wait for the Diamond rally 2024!

Some other awesome events that I attended this year was the Driven Show at the Hard Rock Casino in Vancouver with some of the most incredible builds I have ever layed my eyes on! Also The Tuner Bash in Mission, BC was another favorite with a huge variety of cars and some drifting action at the Mission speedway. I was also hired to shoot the 2 day IOCC RC Car championship event up in Cowichan Bay, BC. I was also welcomed back to Victoria Hall of Fame Induction ceremony for the 2nd consecutive year held at the Olympic View Golf Course at Table Nineteen. So many memorable events this year it's definitely hard to write about them all. Some amazing car shows too, The Volksfest, Oak Bay Car Show Extravaganza, The Torque Masters show in Sidney, BC and many more I attended throughout the year!

Some HUGE record breaking events this year with 3 MASSIVE car meets Hosted by Light Em'Up.TV and 1 MASSIVE car show Co-Hosted by Light Em'Up.TV. 1st event to kick off the year was the Season opener was held at the YMCA in Westhills with just over 300 cars in attendance. 2nd Event with the Summer Park n' Chill again hosted at the YMCA in the Westhills with over 300 cars! The season End'r was hosted at Saanich Plaze across from Uptown Mall with a staggering over 400 cars in attendance. It was one of the largest car meets ever to hit Victoria. There's no need for any introduction to the biggest car show to be held here in Victoria. Light Em' Up.TV Co hosted The insane 600 car, car show along side the popular Lowrider Crew Layed Out Car Club. This show in only it's 2nd year was the largest and "hands down" "best" car show that anyone has ever been to in Victoria. Already prepping for the 3rd annual Field of Dreams for 2024! Stay tuned!

A ton of great experiences and learning curves over the course of 2023. Light Em'Up.TV ended the year off with some awesome Halloween action Co-Hosting the 3rd annual M2 Graphix Trunk or Treat. Victoria Superhero's attending along with some spooktacular cars and trucks! Amazing turn out and such a great family oriented event getting the trick or treaters started early for the season! In November, VIKA welcomed me to attend, photograph, video their 1st awards ceremony hosted at Elements Casino in View Royal. Food was great, atmosphere and people were incredible. Thank you to the entire VIKA team, Gary Smith and Bram Harvey for the invite. Last but not least Layed Out's 4th annual Toy Drive for The Zone 91.3. December was a busy month with this lowrider crew with 3 big toy shopping sprees and dozens of custom lowriders packing the trucks full! Light Em' Up.TV was there camera in hand videoing the Christmas action where the Car Club was able to gather a total of $25,000 of toys, cash and gift cards to support The Zone's 91.3 Toy Drive! WOW, what a year and that was just a very small portion of all the events, car meets and more that happened in 2023! Can't wait for what 2024 brings!

 

It's been only 3 years now since LTV started back in December 2020! On my 4 main Social Media platforms, total combined video views hit 1.8 million and 28,000 total followers! YouTube with a total of 223.3k video views and 1403 Subs, Facebook with 789k views with 8.1k followers, Instagram with 378k video views with 14.8k followers and TikTok with 483.3k videos views with 2.81k followers. Much love for all the support! Big thank you to everyone who was a part of such a successful, and prosperous year! Here's to 2024, here's to the biggest year yet!
